Terms and Conditions

Please read carefully, as payment of booking fee constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.


Payment

• The booking fee amount is £100. This is non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of a full or partial cancellation and is deducted from the Wedding Day total.

• The booking is not secured until payment of booking fee has been received.

• The price agreed at time of booking will be honoured. Any additional services required

will be charged at current pricing.

• Payment is accepted by cash or bank transfer only.

• In the event of bridal party/guest cancellations the price agreed will still stand.

• The balance must be paid by cash or bank transfer a minimum of 6

weeks before the wedding day.

Preview Appointments

• Previews are done in salon, on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays (subject to availability.)

• Previews are payable on the day of the appointment.

• I will take photos of your completed style, along with notes of products used etc. No

others are permitted to take photographs, although I will be happy to send all photos

and product recommendations to the bride.

• Previews should be booked 12 weeks in advance; anything less will compromise

dates/times I can offer you.

Application of hair products

• It is your responsibility to notify me of any health complaint, skin complaint or sensitivity to any part of your face, body or hair that you are aware of at any time that the application of any products is due to commence. It is also your responsibility to ensure that any member of your party requiring hair services has notification of this.

• On both the Wedding Day and for any previews, hair must be freshly washed and blowdried with no product or straightening. I reserve the right to refuse service to any client with wet or unsanitary hair. This does not apply to blowdry styling.

Photography

• On the wedding day I will take photographs which may or may not be used on www.gemmataylorhair.com, Facebook, Instagram or any other advertising which Gemma Taylor Hair undertakes. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are confirming that you have no objection to your photos being used in this way. If you object to your pictures being used, please inform me accordingly.

Cancellations

• You reserve the right to cancel your wedding day hairstyling at any point prior to your wedding day. Please note that the following charges will apply:

• Your booking fee is non-refundable

• Cancellation within 12 weeks of your Wedding Day will incur a fee of 50% of your final payment. Cancellation within 6 weeks of your Wedding Day will incur payment of the full balance due.

In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend your booking due to sickness, injury, personal emergency or any other circumstance, I will endeavour to find a replacement hairstylist of a similar standard. If I am unable to find a replacement hairstylist, you will receive a full refund of monies paid, less the trial cost.

Force Majeure

• I am not responsible for any cancellations due to force majeure. This is including but not limited to, fire, flood, weather, illness, death, epidemic, pandemic. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations

Limitation of liability

• Gemma Taylor Hair is not an insurer or a guarantor and disclaims all liability in such capacity. If you are seeking a guarantee against cancellation, loss or damage you should obtain appropriate insurance.

• All services are conducted on the basis of the information, documents and/or photographs provided by you. Services are for the benefit of you and anyone who you choose to provide services for under this contract. I am not liable to you or any third party for any actions or omissions outside the remit of the service supplied. Nor am I liable for any problems arising as a result of unclear, erroneous, incomplete, misleading or false information supplied.

• I am not liable for any delayed, partial or total non-performance of the services arising directly or indirectly from any event outside her control including your failure to comply with any of your obligations.

• My liability in respect of any claim for loss, damage or expense of any nature, shall in no circumstances exceed the costs of services I have been contracted to provide.

Covid-19

During the Covid-19 pandemic all hair stylists must work under government guidelines. You must agree to adhere to any requests that allow me to carry out my location work in a covid- safe way. This is for the safety of you, your guests, myself and our families.

Government guidelines change regularly, I will update you with details of what is required in the week leading up to the Wedding Day.

If you, or any of your guests behave in a manner which contravenes government guidelines and compromises my safety, you will receive one verbal reminder.

If any unsafe behaviour continues, I will leave the premises and no refunds will be given.


If any one or more provisions of these Terms and Conditions of Service are found to be illegal or unenforceable in any respect, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired by this.

I have read, understood and am in full agreement with the terms and conditions set out by Gemma Taylor Hair. It is my full responsibility to make sure that all members of my bridal party abide by the terms and conditions contained in this document.
